Footman's Log Mar. 2nd

As the deliveries to and from Footman Industries increase, I have had the pengi's build a landing area on the roof for embarking airships, as it's much more efficient than transporting heavy machinery to and from the tower at Palisades, or Wheatstone.

As they were working on the construction, I was making adjustment's on the Giestmagorium, Somerset knocked on my door, apparantly wanting me to shut it off as he believed miss Bookworm was being possessed. I honestly can't even keep it shut off for long, and still have not had success contacting the spirit of an old empire engineer, so I informed him it simply wasn't possible, then he wanted to ward the cemetary, closing off the main connection I currently had. I finally agreed to his idea of restricting the activity to my property, and shut the door on his face as I heard a crash. The skull on my bookcase had fallen off, after apparantly moving a good three inches to the edge.. I heard giggling as I almost gave Somerset's request a second thought, then disreguarded it and set back to work.

Sadly this contact had only managed to be an old woman, who apparantly died working a textile mill not too far from here. She didn't seem more confused than anything, asking if it was her turn yet or something before fading back to the spirit realm. I'm starting to lose faith in this project, as I have yet to contact an engineer,
and all I seem to be accomplishing is increasing the spirit activity, there's not a night now that somethng isn't flung across the lab, or shapes can be seen wandering around. Somerset's mention of the woman's possession is interesting though.
I've currently taken to large amounts of coffee and other perscriptions to stave off sleep and try to return to the sleep pattern I used to have, meaning no sleep, as they seem to be getting closer now everytime I take five minutes rest. I've even started seeing them in the waking world, though it's hard to say if it's them, or the spirits I see in the lab, I am sure I saw one peeking in the window at the Gangplank however,

I've put the steamjack project on hiatus for now as well, while I finish the citywork clank (based on Mr. Streeter's designs). It's fairly large, and should make construction much easier.
