I had been working more on the prototype for the steamjack armor, attempting to integrate one of the smaller pixy sized fey batteries to power it (sadly they just don't provide enough power). I had taken 5 minutes of rest in the lab, and had been awoken again by Miss Gizzy, as I had asked her to wake me.
I disconnected the battery before the power drain could wipe out the sprite inside, and felt hungry.
I decided it was time for lunch, and accompanied by Miss Gizzy, went to the Gangplank for some bacon sandwiches. I had stopped at Miss Macbain to ask if she wanted to join us, but noone seemed to be home, so I continued and met Miss Gizzy there. As I ate and discussed the current spirit behavior centered around the machine, making sure Gizzy was not the one activating it, two diminutive ladies entered. I had taken them for urchins at first, but their faces were more adult. They were apparantly sisters, and as they commented on how high the stools were, I had taken them as relatives of the clokcwinder at first. They denied it, claiming they were irish and knew of no clockwinders in their family (I have to admit i'm not sure what Tenk's nationality is). They seemed to think Miss Gizzy might have been old Empire technolog, I have to say the thought had never crossed my mind, I never thought the old empire, and the empire Gizzy mentioned as originating from could be one and the same, it would explain how she ended up at the bottom of the Vernian afterall.
They claimed both were looking for work, I did mention possibly having some work in the lab, but then they had left as quick as they had come in, without either a yeay, or nay about it.
At this point, finding myself alone as Miss Gizzy had to leave suddenly remembering she was supposed to pick up a shipment for me from the train station, I sat back and finished my lunch. Why do I always seem to meet strange shor women in odd places?
When I was returning to the plant, I thought I saw a woman in the cemetary, but when i approached, she ran dissappeared, alright, maybe not dissappeared as much as ran off, but it was foggy and I didn't have my goggles on that night, and with the odd occurances lately would not put it past odd pale women standing in the graveyard.
