Footman's Logg; Oct 11th, 18XX

I finally returned to Babbage, having managed to get out just before the quarentine, wich given how my appearance has reverted back to before, is unexpected I would have made it out. I've heard reports of this new outbreak, most the city apparantly becoming infected , but unlike the F-virus spawned off my serum experiments last year, this strain seemed to not only be airborne, but those infected kept their mental state....Most of them at least, I've heard some went mad.

The last of the escapees from the lab have also been rounded up from the graveyard, and somehow there's more than there should be. I'm not sure if the extra zombies are leftover victims of this airborne virus, with their minds gone, or if the graveyard zombies had bitten some and spread it slightly, I do keep Dayafter's cure on hand, but it's really hard to say, some of them did seem to be old corpses, and covered in dirt.

The doors are back up, the Eels have been replaced and we are now back at full capacity again. I have told the Badger to wall over the holding cell for now, for the most part, Mr. Mornington seems to have cured all the infected.

I've taken to using my rebreather again, as my lungs have again degraded, the serum may be losing it's potency, or my time in Kadath without access to my serum, equiptment, or even a real lab may have caused it. I'll have to send Miss Macbain a letter warning her to take care not to overuse the serum until I can be sure.

Footman's Logg; Oct 9th, 18XX

I've been overseeing the repairs on the plant, and it is now back to full power, and managed to retrieve my heart from Dr. Sonnerstien, finally able to leave off the circulatory device I had been using in place.

Apparantly now too, there is a new epidemic in he city, similar to the F-virus from last year. I've heard the details second hand, but those infected tend to resemble the undead or something (wich would explain why people keep asking me if I'm feeling well, my time without serum took a toll unfortunately), I did have a group come to the plant convinced it was my doing. and while, the zombies currently contained in the graveyard are escapees from my lab, they're not the same strain of virus as this other one.

It's possibly a new strain of disease, apparantly centered around the museum in Babbage Square. Unfortunatly, I have to take a trip to Ichor Falls this week, or I'd see about studying this, possibly retreiving a sample.

Footman's Logg; Oct 3rd, 18XX

I've returned to Babbage. Having escaped the moon-things that came for the book and hid out in the parallel dreamworld city Kadath. I had converted the mechanicle black mirror into a black gate, wich I had been working on in the study the night they came, and hurredly ducked in, Sadly the device somehow rejected my heart chamber, and so while in the otherworld had to cobble a circulation machine.

Unfortunatly I had no way to activate he gate device while on the other side, the Badger had moved it to the lab in the meantime, so I was effectively stuck.

It was Miss Gizzy who finally activated it, she had found my notes I had scrawled on the margins of the pages left behind, though she didn't really understand them, and claimed to have turned the machine on to see what it did.

I had been getting inceasingly sick from the lack of an actual heart, and had been atempting to cobble together what I needed to jury rig another black gate, when I was shunted back into the lab.

An injection of serum and I examined he grounds. One tank had been smashed and the eels in the other were dead and so we'd been losing much power, the zombies broke out of the holding cell and ha infested the graveyard, wich seemed larger. And my prototype automotons were wandering around lost with no clear purpose.

I'll have to work on cleaning and fixing things in the next week or so it seems, as well as find a replacement heart.
